Anastasia Newman

Anastasia Newman completed both her Bachelors of Kinesiology and her Master of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2004 and 2006 respectively. Since graduating in 2006 she has worked as a critical care physiotherapist in the cardiac surgery intensive care unit at the Hamilton General Hospital and holds an Assistant Professorship with the McMaster School of Physiotherapy. She returned to McMaster in 2009 and completed her Master of Rehabilitation Science in 2011.  In May 2014 she began her PhD and is investigating the role of physiotherapy and early mobilization in the management of patients with critical illnesses.
