Emilie P. Belley-Cote

Dr. Emilie P. Belley-Cote practices critical care cardiology in the cardiovascular intensive care unit and coronary care unit at the Hamilton General Hospital

Emilie P. Belley-Cote obtained her MD with Award of excellence from Université de Sherbrooke in 2006. After internal medicine and cardiology training, as well as an MSc in Clinical Sciences – research profile at Université de Sherbrooke, she completed a critical care fellowship at McMaster University in 2012-2014. She is a clinical scholar in the Department of Medicine – Cardiology at McMaster University; she practices critical care cardiology in the cardiovascular intensive care unit and coronary care unit at the Hamilton General Hospital.

She is now completing a PhD in Health Research Methodology and holds a Frederick Banting and Charles Best Graduate Scholarship – CIHR doctoral award. Her research interests include troponin elevations in critically ill patients, arrhythmia, knowledge synthesis, and peri-operative management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

At this stage in her career, she has published in NEJM, Lancet, JAMA, as well as first tier critical care journals.
