Gediminas Cepinskas

Dr. Cepinskas is a Professor of Medical Biophysics in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, the University of Western Ontario and a Scientist/Director at the Centre for Critical Illness Research, Lawson Health Research Institute.
His research focuses on the mechanisms of sepsis/systemic inflammation-induced activation of neutrophilic leukocytes and activation/dysfunction of organ specific vascular endothelial cells. Carbon monoxide releasing molecules (CORMs) are investigated as a new treatment to counteract sepsis/SIRS.
