Guillaume Emeriaud
Guillaume Emeriaud is a pediatric intensivist and researcher from CHU Sainte Justine, Université de Montréal, Montreal, Qc.
Besides a medical training in pediatrics and intensive care medicine, he completed a PhD in Signal and Imaging in Medicine and Biomedicine, studying the lung volume regulation in infants. His research interest is now mainly focused on the optimisation of the interactions between the children and the ventilator, based on his expertise in respiratory monitoring, particularly of electrical activity of the diaphragm, and in neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA).
Dr Emeriaud holds a Career Clinical Research Award from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). His research program has been supported by several grants from the FRQS, the Respiratory Health Network of the FRQS, and CHU Sainte Justine and Sainte-Justine Research Center.
