Richard Hall
Richard Hall research interests include the role of the inflammatory response in altering drug metabolism and pharmacodynamics and the use of novel agents in the delivery of intensive care and anesthesia.
Richard Hall is Professor of Anesthesiology, Medicine and Pharmacology and Associate Professor of Surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His clinical activities are mainly in the areas of cardiac anesthesia and intensive care medicine. His research interests include the role of the inflammatory response in altering drug metabolism and pharmacodynamics and the use of novel agents in the delivery of intensive care and anesthesia. He is currently Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society and the Research Ethics Board of the Capital District Health Authority. He is also the Chair of the Perioperative Anesthesiology Clinical Trials (PACT) network– a multicentre clinical trials network of Canadian Anesthesiologists.
