Samantha Boggs

Dr. Boggs received her MD from McMaster University.  She then completed residency training in Pediatrics as well as a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Ottawa.  She is currently completing a Master's in Education through the University of Ottawa.  She is passionate about medical education and applying simulation to novel purposes within education (ex. performing needs assessments, evaluating curriculum, understanding team functioning) as well as to improve system level processes (ex. review serious safety events, evaluate implementation of new protocols in-situ).  She is currently leading a research program that aims to develop and evaluate virtual simulation games as a new tool to teach healthcare providers and laypeople the key knowledge and skills need to manage common pediatric emergencies.
